The much-awaited annual school fete, “Francotsav 2025,” was organised on 7th November at St. Francis Xavier’s School with great enthusiasm and excitement. The entire campus was adorned with colourful decorations, laughter, and cheerful faces as students, teachers, and parents came together to celebrate a day filled with fun and learning.
A school fete holds great educational and social value. It provides students with an opportunity to step beyond their regular academic routine and experience the joy of teamwork, leadership, and creativity. By planning and managing various stalls, students learn valuable life skills such as cooperation, responsibility, and time management. Such events also foster a sense of community, bringing teachers, students, and parents closer in a spirit of unity and collaboration.
The fete featured a variety of game stalls and food stalls, all thoughtfully organised by the teachers with help of students. The game stalls such as era oddesy, panthelon, adrenaline alley, mystery matrix and so on, along with lucky draw and prizes on winning the game attracted enthusiastic participation. While the food stalls offered an array of delicious items, including chaats, momos, Chinese food and much more. The air was filled with music, laughter, and excitement as everyone enjoyed the festivities. A special music and dance room was also arranged for the students. The students took pride in managing their stalls efficiently, ensuring that every visitor had a delightful experience.
Conducting a school fete provides students with experiential learning opportunities that complement academic education. It nurtures their confidence, enhances interpersonal skills, and promotes teamwork. Moreover, it helps inculcate a sense of responsibility and financial awareness among students.
